Checkout this video I shot of Brandon Nimmo hitting in Staten Island

I attended the Brooklyn Cyclones vs. Staten Island Yankees game in Staten Island last night. I quickly edited a couple of clips to show you all Mets prospect Brandon Nimmo’s at-bats.

I didn’t show entire at-bats, just the results. Nimmo was pretty patient at the plate, and he seemed to be following the organizational philosophy at the plate. He ended up hitting a double, but advancing to third on an error, and he also was walked.

Nimmo is a good defensive outfielder, who has way more speed than you’d expect from a 19-year-old with raw talent. Nimmo is young, but he looks like he belongs in pro baseball (not big league baseball… remember, minor league baseball is professional baseball too).

Anyway, here’s the video:

Brandon Nimmo was drafted in the first round of the 2011 draft. I shot the above video at the Cyclones-Yankees minor league game in Staten Island on June 20, 2012.

Note: I will post pictures that I took at the Cyclones game later today. Keep checking MetsOnline.com for more about my experience at the Cylones-Yankees game.
