The New York Mets (24-20) defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates (20-24) by the score of 3-1 today in Pittsburgh. The Mets lost the first game of this series, but bounced back to take the last two. The Mets won this much needed series best of three, and will now go back home to take on the San Diego Padres.
