I wonder how that conversation went.
Mookie Wilson:
“Hey Tom, you stole my job!”
Tom Goodwin:
“Sorry Mookie, I’m more important. It’s not like you’re in the Mets Hall of Fame or anything.”
In all seriousness, I like Tom Goodwin. I don’t know much about him, but he seems to be doing a solid job as the first base and outfield coach. I think that Lucas Duda’s defense has improved drastically under him. But… how can you not like Mookie!
